Pool and Spa Filter Cleaning
Is your filter ready to be cleaned?
Have you noticed that you have less flow or that your automatic cleaner is going a little slower than usual? It's probably because your filter is in need of a cleaning.
Your filter is responsible for catching all of the debris that is too small to be caught in the skimmer or pump baskets. It also filters the sunscreen, body oils, dirt, hair and any other small debris that are in your pool.
When your cartridges or grids get too dirty, it restricts flow to the pool and limits filtration which can lead to unsafe swimming conditions for you and your family.
Schedule
We inspect and clean each filter every 3-6 months depending on the condition of the pool and filter. Bather load, Landscaping, Animals, etc will all determine the schedule of filter cleanings.
- DE Filter Cleaning - Diatomaceous Earth (DE) filters rely on powdered DE to filter debris. During a DE filter cleaning, we will back wash the filter, disassemble filter, clean and inspect the grids and recharge the filter with DE.
- Cartridge Filter Cleaning - Disassemble filter, clean and inspect cartridges, manifold, and O-rings.
